Davis’ Offer Railroad Safety at Local
School
KristensLaw Author John Davis along
with daughter Tiffany continued their quest for improved Railroad Safety in the
community by holding an Educational Seminar at Schafer Elementary School in
Lombard, IL. The Operation Lifesaver
certified instructors spent the day educating children grades K-5th
as to the existing dangers along the well traveled rails in our area. The Davis Duo acting on a special request from Schafer
Student Secretary Nicole Zukowski began the day at 8:30am breaking the schools
population into three separate groups. Each presentation lasted about one hour.
The ability to combine education and fun with a hometown approach enabled the
instructors to keep the children’s attention in what hopes to be the first in a
long line of area school presentations. T.E.A.R.S.
Vice President Helen Byrd was in attendance and noted, “more safety has to be
implemented in our school systems’ cirriculum, kids need to be constantly
reminded”. A big thanks to Schafer
School, John and Tiffany Davis,
Villa
park firefighter paramedic Rich Biagioli,
Officer Bill Lyons,
along with all who participated.
