    Letter from Tonya Eisenburg of 23235 Wentworth Avenue requesting that the Village post a sign on her street indicating caution children at play or caution/slow handicapped child.

    Letter from Muscular Dystrophy Association requesting permission for the Fire Department to solicit donations for MDA at the intersection of 34th Street and Chicago Road on Saturday, July 29, 2006 from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

    Letter from the Steger Area Chamber of Commerce requesting the following: 1) permission to host their annual Summer Faire in Veterans Park - July 6th through July 9th, 2) approval of a liquor license for the event, 3) assistance from E.S.D.A. for security and traffic control, 4) assistance from the Police Department for security on the grounds, 5) assistance from the Fire Department by having an ambulance and crew on the groundS, 6) a donation of $6,000.00 towards half of the cost of the fireworks display on the last night of the event.

    Letter from Village Engineer Joseph A. Schudt recommending that occupancy for 3141 Carpenter Street is withheld until the retaining wall shown on the approved plans for A. Patrick Builders is installed.

  9. NEW BUSINESS

    Memo from Village Administrator Conrad Kiebles recommending the acceptance of the proposal from Sportsfields in the amount of $19,625.00 to rehab the football field at Veterans Park.

    Memo from Village Administrator Conrad Kiebles recommending the acceptance of the bid from Matthew Paving in the amount of $49,349.00 for the footpath around Veterans Park.

    Discussion on the purchase of Card Imaging machine.

    Approval of a budget for the Dixie Dash event on Saturday, June 17,2006.

    Letter from the New Colonies Apartments requesting the approval of a new agreement between the Village of Steger, Steger Police Department and the New Colonies Apartments regarding the enforcement of all local ordinances and state statutes on the New Colonies Apartments property.

  10. ANNOUNCEMENTS
    There will be a Zoning Board Hearing on Wednesday, June 7,2006 at 6:00 PM in the Village Meeting Room to discuss a request from Tom Fletcher D/B/A Shooter's Place for a zoning variance from B-1 to B-1-A6 which permits the gift or sale of alcoholic liquor with entertainment on the property commonly known as 3327 and 3329 Chicago Road.

    There will be a Zoning Board Hearing on Wednesday, June 7,2006 at 6:15 PM in the Village Meeting Room to discuss a request from Laurie Drown for a zoning variance in order to allow her to house three (3) potbelly pigs on the property commonly known as 3129 Carpenter Street.
