The Villa Park safety meeting went excellent!! We are moving forward faster than expected. We are currently working on fencing in North Terrace Park and funding for it. Also we are currently looking into filing the paperwork for a underpass but that is still many years away, but this is just one step that has to be taken

We have an "Operation Lifesaver Presenters" class coming up and we encourage all our teenagers to participate. Kids teaching kids works better than a 40 year old preaching and all the kids hear is "yap yap yap ... when’s lunch?" We now have Senator Biggins on board and we are pleased to get as much help as we can. I encourage more citizens to come to our meetings. So far there have been only two.

We welcome Phyllis Gregory to the committee, she is an Operation Lifesaver Presenter now and has been very active in railroad safety for some time now.

President Stupegia is very aggressive about railroad safety and is pushing as hard as I am. She has sat out at the tracks with me to catch trespassers, I don’t know of any other Mayors that would spend that kind of time, heck some won’t even return phone calls.
