ROCKFORD —
Robert Crimmins, a homeless man, was identified Thursday as the
man who died from injuries after being struck by a freight train Wednesday on
Seventh Street.
Crimmins, 37, died at 11:52 p.m. Wednesday at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee.
An autopsy was performed
by the Milwaukee County medical examiner’s office, which listed the cause of
death as “multiple blunt traumatic injuries,” including an amputated foot.
Crimmins, who was intoxicated at the time of the
accident, was hit by the train at 6 p.m. as he was walking west on the railroad
tracks, and a Canadian National Freight train was traveling east.
